Met een ronkend hammond orgel, scheurende sax, groovende gitaar, fat bass & funky drums spelen The Skepticals een mix van diverse stijlen: mod-jazz, new orleans, spy-fi, ska en rhythm 'n blues. Het repertoire bestaat veelal uit eigen composities, waarin zo nu en dan ook de theremin rond spookt. Onlangs verschenen 2 tracks op vinyl: 'DIABOLIK' op Tardam Records / AcidJazz en 'CHILLS' op Amsterdam BeatClub vol.3, Sonic Rendezvous. Dit kwintet heeft de Skeps-edge.. Sho 'Nuff!

This is a tribute to Ruby Bridges, the very first African-American child to desegregate at the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans on November 14th. 1960, aged 6. The Skepticals (Amsterdam) are inspired by her story and released their 'Ruby Bridges' Walk' on November 14th. 2020, exactly 60 years to the day when she made her first walk to school, escorted by U.S. Marshals.
